The Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering department at UC San Diego moved into a new building on campus and felt that the drab space could use some personality. Using the UC San Diego Branding guidelines, I created a patterned window decal that showcased elements used in or related to mechanical and aerospace engineering. For the interior courtyard, the same pattern was applied to banners which highlighted the areas of study within the department. The final touch was a singular banner for outside the building which, as requested, included the founder and the date the department was established.
